This year Christian was the Pokemon Pikachu, Abbie was Queen Elsa from Frozen, and Isaac was a monkey. It was freezing outside and had snowed earlier in the afternoon, so instead of doing the traditional door-to-door trick or treating we took the kids to Calvin College's "Light in the Night" event. The kids went through the different dorms and each was decorated a different theme - How to Train Your Dragon, Frozen, Candy Land, Harry Potter, etc., and the kiddos collected candy from each dorm room. They LOVED the themes, it was nice that they weren't out in the cold for hours, and they got TONS of candy. Christian and Abbie have already asked if we can go again next year. I think we have a new family tradition. :) You know you're pregnant with your 4th baby when....you're almost to 30 weeks before you actually snap that first belly picture! Just 10 more weeks until we meet our sweet baby girl!
We took the kiddos pumpkin and apple picking this morning! It was Isaac's first time apple picking and he loved it! He was so happy when he got one off the tree and promptly started eating it - haha! :) We're 24 weeks now! Our baby girl is the size of a cantaloupe! :) The normal pregnancy pains have started - extreme tiredness, swollen ankles, and back aches, but just 16 more weeks to go!
We had our 20-week ultrasound this afternoon! I had blood work done at 12-weeks that told us we were having a baby girl, but it was still nice to have it confirmed via ultrasound today. We even got to see an adorable little yawn near the end. We love our littlest princess! It's a Girl! Profile of Face Face Big Yawn We all had our first day of homeschool today! Christian's now a 2nd grader, Abbie's a Kindergartner, and Greg's a ThM student. I just had to have Greg take a picture too - haha! :) Isaac just started learning to eat with a spoon and fork. He's enjoying it so much and we're loving watching him learn. :) Our family headed out to the Hudsonville Fair last week - lots of (stinky) animals, frog races, amazingly wonderful (horribly bad for you) food (chili dogs, cotton candy, caramel apples, elephant ears, etc.), and rides rides and more rides. The kiddos had a blast! :) Isaac's amazing Aunt Karin gave him his first hair cut this weekend. He alternated between confusion, anger, and happiness. Karin was so patient and did a fabulous job. Isaac is quite the handsome little man with his stylin new haircut. A few months ago our family received a wonderful surprise gift from God – baby #4 is on the way! We're so excited to welcome our little girl in January, but since she was a surprise we've already given away almost all of our baby items. If anyone has any of the below items that they no longer need, we would be thrilled to have them! Thank you!
